Schneider Electric is a global leader in energy management and automation solutions, operating with more than 176,000 employees.

It is focused on pursuing sustainable operations, with a target to be net zero across its entire value chain by 2050, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

At the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos, the company announced new initiatives and achievements in its journey towards a sustainable energy transition.

Schneider Electric’s presence in Davos

At Davos, Schneider Electric showed how collaboration across industries can be used to advance energy technology and the company showcased its AI applications which are delivering real-world impact, being recognised in WEF’s global programme.

Sustainability leadership at Schneider Electric

The Global Head of Sustainability at Schneider Electric is Sorouch Kheradmand, who has held the position since May 2023. 

He first joined the company more than 13 years ago, starting as a Commercial Manager.

He has since worked as a Strategy Director and a Commercial & Portfolio Director at Schneider, where he was a member of the management committee.

Sorouch has had various experiences, starting his career in R&D, before leading large strategic projects and later on, large commercial teams.

He is passionate about sustainability, making it his career and he tries to show ways that businesses can harness it to grow and outdo their competition.

On top of his current job, he often writes, talks and exchanges around sustainability, offering expertise on how businesses can have a positive impact on people, planet and society.

He is also a non-executive director and advisor to several companies in the impact and sustainability space.

At Schneider Electric, Sorouch’s responsibilities encompass carbon footprint assessment, circularity strategy and manufacturing and supply chain decarbonisation.

“My life’s purpose is now to bring business and sustainability together, making it a competitive advantage for companies to accelerate both financial outcomes and impact.

AI in Sustainability at The Net Zero Summit

Sorouch will be joining the AI in Sustainability panel at Sustainability LIVE: The Net Zero Summit in London.

This panel is set to explore how AI is transforming the ways organisations manage environmental performance.

Panellists will discuss the use of AI in emissions tracking, energy optimisation, climate modeling and sustainable supply chains.

Attendees are expected to gain insights into how intelligent systems are improving accuracy, efficiency and speed across sustainability initiatives.

Sorouch will be joined by sustainability leaders from Amazon Web Services, NVIDIA, NHS and Google for the panel, which will take place on 4 March 2026.
