Job To Siemens Buildings Smart Infrastructure - Chief Executive Officer

Susanne first joined Siemens in 2003 and has held a number of roles in the business including Global Head of Sales and Marketing at Siemens Smart Infrastructure and Director at Siemens Australia. She has extensive experience in buildings and will use this to drive building decarbonisation through the Buildings Business Unit.

Siemens Buildings Smart Infrastructure is a newly formed business unit that brings together Siemens’ buildings-related businesses into one entity with a combined portfolio of products, software and services. The unit is part of the Smart Infrastructure HQ in Zug, Switzerland and aims to accelerate digital transformation towards smarter and more sustainable buildings.

“Making existing and new buildings more sustainable has never been more urgent. After all, buildings generate more than 40 percent of annual global CO2 emissions and we have a responsibility to drive their decarbonization,” says Matthias Rebellius, Managing Board Member and CEO of Smart Infrastructure.

Susanne says: “We’ve brought together all of Siemens’ buildings-related businesses into one entity. With a portfolio of products, software and services, we support our customers to run their buildings more reliably and cost-effectively, successfully hit their decarbonization and sustainability targets, and drive better business outcomes.

“I believe strongly in our ability to accelerate the digital transformation by combining the real and digital worlds, harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence, IT/OT convergence and digital services for a future with smart, self-adaptive and autonomous buildings.

“There has never been a more important time to transform our built environment, and together with the team at Siemens and our expanding ecosystem of partners, I’m looking forward to growing this dynamic business.”
