At Sustainability LIVE: Diversity & Inclusion, Liesbeth will be delivering an engaging fireside chat that will explore the importance of integrating ESG principles in businesses in the entertainment industry.

Before the event next week, we caught up with Liesbeth to discover what inspired her to get involved with our virtual event, what she hopes to achieve through her fireside chat, as well as her predictions for the future of our industry.

What inspired you to get involved with Sustainability LIVE: Diversity & Inclusion?

Sustainability LIVE: D&I is a great fit for what I strive to achieve every day - putting ESG into action.

I don’t just talk about sustainability; it’s a hands-on process that I’m deeply involved in across industries, including gaming and entertainment. It’s about embedding responsible, practical solutions that balance growth with social health and safety.

This event is an ideal platform to share these insights and simplify the path for others committed to sustainability.

Provide us with an overview of what your fireside chat, ‘ESG in Entertainment’ will focus on.

My fireside chat will dive into the importance of integrating ESG into core business models, specifically within gaming and entertainment, where player safety is paramount.

Gaming should be engaging yet safe, which requires us as industry leaders to ensure responsible play and healthy consumption habits.

We’ll also discuss diversity and inclusion as a critical tool - not only for aligning with customer values but for developing a resilient, engaged workforce that reflects the needs of the communities we serve.

What do you hope to achieve through our event?

I hope to drive home that sustainability is about leadership and strategic thinking, tailoring ESG practices to fit each company’s unique model.

I aim to empower leaders to use these strategies as competitive strengths and to foster connections across industries for greater impact.

The goal is a stronger, more resilient sector that aligns profit with purpose.

What emerging trends do you believe will shape the future of the sustainability industry over the next decade?

The future of sustainability will be shaped by data-driven impact assessment, integrated D&I and cross-industry collaboration.

Companies that successfully embed sustainability into their core values - be it through responsible gaming, reducing carbon footprints, or prioritizing well-being - will not only lead in their sectors but will redefine industry standards.

In the next decade, I believe we’ll see businesses turning sustainability from a goal into a source of strategic advantage.
