At Sustainability LIVE: Diversity & Inclusion, Stuart will be delivering an engaging fireside chat that will explore Weetabix’s initiatives to highlight how organisations can craft a fairer and stronger workplace culture.

We recently caught up with Stuart to discover what he hoped to achieve through his fireside chat and explore his predictions for the future of our evolving industry.

What inspired you to get involved with Sustainability LIVE: D&I?

Having taken ‘Executive Leadership for Health Safety and Environment’ in the past several months and having gotten up to speed on the brilliant work from our teams, this event seemed like a great opportunity to celebrate and promote the work Weetabix has been doing on its commitment to Sustainability.

Provide us with an overview of what your fireside chat, ‘Building a stronger and fairer culture: Weetabix initiatives in the workplace’, will focus on.

In this fireside chat, I will aim to join the sustainability discussion by bringing to life Weetabix’s initiatives aimed at building a stronger and fairer workplace culture.

My contributions will focus on the key policies and programs that Weetabix has implemented to nurture talent, foster career development and ensure equitable progression opportunities for all employees.

I’ll attempt to highlight the internal review mechanisms used to maintain high standards and promote a culture of fairness, transparency and inclusion throughout the organisation.

The session aims to offer valuable insights into how Weetabix is shaping a positive, progressive work environment.

What do you hope to achieve through our event?

Firstly, to listen and learn, to be inspired by other stories and glean thoughts and ideas to take back to Weetabix.

In addition, I wish to share the great work by Weetabix and hopefully provide insight and encouragement for others to keep driving forward and looking to continuous improvements.

What emerging trends do you believe will shape the future of the sustainability industry over the next decade?

I believe changing consumer, customer and colleague demands will be influential. I often think about Amara’s Law: the idea that we tend to overestimate the short-term impact of change and underestimate the long-term impact.

I don’t see rapid demands and changes that any particular generations are demanding, but I’m absolutely certain I’m noticing changes in the behaviour and expectations of all employees, customers and consumers over time.
