Four new speakers join the lineup for Sustainability LIVE Malta from PwC, AIS Environment Ltd, MFSA and The Malta Institute Of Accountants

Heading to Malta for 2025, Sustainability LIVE will host an immersive one-day in-person event at the Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC) in Valetta on 20 February.

Stephanie Buhagiar Camilleri, Senior Technical Expert at Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA)

Stephanie Buhagiar Camilleri is a Senior Technical Expert within the Capital Markets Supervision Unit at Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). 

Stephanie has dedicated the last 15 years to the MSFA. Her experience at the company is quite varied, from the supervision of investment firms and trusts to the ongoing supervision of entities listed on regulated markets in Malta and abroad.

Stephanie Buhagiar Camilleri, Senior Technical Expert at Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA)

Stephanie holds a degree in Accountancy from the University of Malta and is a certified public accountant and auditor by profession. She is also a Fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants. 

Stephine will be taking part in the Sustainability Assurance panel at Sustainability LIVE: Malta. Panellists will explore the significance of sustainable assurance as a foundation for responsible decision-making and long-term impact.  

Yasmin Schembri, Senior Consultant & Business Development at AIS Environment

Yasmin is an emerging leader in the local sustainability movement. She is recognised for her out-of-the-box thinking and dynamic approaches to environmental challenges.

Yasmin has dedicated her career to AIS Environment. She currently leads large-scale environmental projects and is responsible for growing AIS Environment’s business.

Yasmin’s combines her expertise with a passion for technology to explore new avenues for sustainable development and has successfully completed numerous projects focused on measuring and reducing carbon footprints as well as promoting renewable energy solutions. 

At the Sustainability LIVE: Malta, she will take part in the the Net Zero panel where she will share her fresh insights on climate change and actionable strategies to achieve Net Zero.

Norbert Vella, Partner at PwC Malta 

Norbert has more than 17 years of experience in the finance sector including assurance and consulting services and local banking. 

Norbert leads a diverse team of experts as the Sustainability Leader at PwC Malta to support large organisations in preparing for the implementation of CSRD, as well as emissions reporting and strategy setting.

Norbert's expertise includes ESRS reporting, GHG accounting, Taxonomy reporting and the respective assurance.

At Sustainability LIVE: Malta Norbert will also take part in the Sustainability Assurance panel exploring the significance of sustainable assurance as a foundation for responsible decision-making and long-term impact.  

Maria Cauchi Delia, CEO of The Malta Institute Of Accountants

Maria is the CEO of the Malta Institute of Accountants, the approved professional accountancy body in Malta.

She leads the Institute which serves as a bridge between public institutions and the accountancy profession, and is a major contributor to relevant regulatory and technical initiatives.  In her role as CEO, Maria participates in various ongoing discussions on sustainability at both local and international level.

Maria is an accountant and auditor, by profession.  She has extensive expertise in the public and private sectors, having worked in various institutions in Malta and abroad.
At Sustainability LIVE: Malta Maria will be the moderator of the Sustainability Assurance panel exploring the significance of sustainable assurance and the resulting implications for authorities, entities and other users.
