What inspired you to get involved in Sustainability LIVE: Malta?

I have been motivated by the opportunities of sustainable transformations for many years. Leading the Malta ESG Alliance has enabled me to collaborate with like-minded business leaders in this area in Malta.

More conversations, more interaction and more sharing with as wide an internationally committed community as possible is healthy and essential. Participation in Sustainability LIVE: Malta does exactly this and that is what inspired me and MESGA to get involved.

Provide an overview of what your fireside chat will focus on.

I believe that a frank, compelling and honest conversation on what matters most in the area of business transformation driven by ESG metrics could be a strong motivator for impactful strategic decisions at business and national levels.

This is what I am committed to and I hope to be able to share my journey, observations and suggestions in this chat.

What do you hope to achieve through the event?

Above all considerations and expectations, a transformation can be made if all of us make this journey personal.

Sustainability objectives are best achieved when aligned with personal values and ambitions. If my contribution can help make this match a number of the event participants, then I would be very happy.

What emerging trends do you believe will shape the future of sustainability over the next decade?

As consumers, investors and policymakers change consumption and regulatory trends, technology and innovation will enable transformations at a rate that will be unprecedented.

National and business competitiveness and productivity will depend on our ability to understand this journey and a well-planned investment in human capital and skills will be the main action to ensure that no one is left behind.
