Sustainability leadership driving global progress
Sustainability is increasingly shaping how organisations design infrastructure, manage resources and create long-term value.
Across sectors from technology and telecommunications to finance and professional services, businesses are investing in solutions that support environmental responsibility while driving growth and innovation.
As demand for digital services continues to grow, sustainable data centres and secure digital infrastructure are becoming essential to modern economies.
Organisations such as Ramboll are helping clients develop data centres, telecommunications networks and energy systems that improve efficiency, reduce environmental impact and support long-term resilience.
According to Ramboll, information and communications technologies account for approximately 2% of global carbon emissions, highlighting the importance of embedding sustainability into digital infrastructure.
Alongside decarbonisation efforts, cybersecurity is playing an increasingly important role in protecting critical systems, environmental data and essential services. As organisations accelerate digital transformation, cyber resilience is helping ensure that sustainable infrastructure remains secure, reliable and future-ready.
Across the world, organisations are also using data, analytics and technology to address complex sustainability challenges.
RELX supports researchers, healthcare professionals, legal experts and businesses through information-based analytics and decision tools that improve productivity and support better outcomes.
Through initiatives such as the RELX SDG Resource Centre and Elsevier's Research4Life programme, the company helps expand access to knowledge, research and insights that support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Meanwhile, Proagrica uses data and analytics to improve agricultural productivity and encourage more sustainable land use, while LexisNexis supports social impact initiatives and promotes greater transparency and accountability.
Together, these examples demonstrate how sustainability, secure digital infrastructure and data-driven innovation are helping organisations reduce environmental impact, strengthen resilience and create a more sustainable future.
