Global Decarbonisation Strategies at The London Summit

Sustainability LIVE is returning to London in September 2026 with The London Summit + Awards, a two-day summit designed for senior sustainability executives.
On 8-9 September, the conference will bring together leaders driving climate action and ESG transformation.
Co-located with Procurement LIVE and Supply Chain LIVE, the event offers a unique opportunity for cross-functional collaboration.

Sustainability LIVE: The London Summit features more than 50 expert speakers, 10 core content themes and four interactive workshops.
Sessions cover multiple areas of sustainability, such as climate disclosure, circular economy models, innovation and stakeholder engagement.
Attendees will explore how to embed sustainability across their organisations.
With more than 1,000 attendees, the hybrid conference provides the insights, connections and solutions needed to accelerate progress towards net zero and stay ahead in a changing business landscape.
The event also features The Global Sustainability Awards, taking place on 8 September 2026.
The awards feature eight categories, recognising innovation, leadership and measurable impact.
This prestigious ceremony offers a powerful platform to celebrate success stories, inspire the wider industry and reinforce the role of sustainability at every level.
Entries are now open, with the deadline extended until 9 July 2026.
Decarbonisation in focus
The Global Decarbonisation Strategies panel, in association with EcoVadis, will take place at 12:15-13:00 (BST) on 8 September.
This session focuses on actionable pathways to achieving net zero on a global scale.
Panellists will discuss breakthrough technologies, cross-sector partnerships and innovative policies that are enabling deep emissions reductions across industries and supply chains.
Who are the speakers?
Markus Wieser, Gore Fabrics Climate Team Lead at W. L. Gore & Associates
Markus has been working at W. L. Gore & Associates since 2016, working across stakeholder engagement and sustainability strategy.
His work focuses on the decarbonisation of the fabrics and textiles sector, reducing the climate impact of fabric production.
He has previously held multiple positions at CNC Communications & Network Consulting, where he worked for more than 11 years.

Olivia Ruggles-Brise, Vice President, Sustainability at BCD Travel
Olivia joined BCD Travel in 2022, where she leads the company’s sustainability function across 170 countries.
Her experience spans sustainability management, reporting, strategy creation and compliance frameworks.
Olivia writes on LinkedIn: “I am motivated to drive meaningful change within the travel industry, contributing to a more sustainable and responsible future.”
Anniina Virta-Toikka, VP, Sustainability at Konecranes
Anniina is currently working on steering climate, circular economy and human rights work forward.
She focuses on building a future sustainability agenda where business ambition is reached with innovating new sustainability opportunities and integrated processes.
Before her current position, Anniina has worked in environmental management across different industries.
James Pennington, Global Sustainability Director at Lenovo
James brings expertise in circular economy, sustainability strategy and environmental leadership to his role at Lenovo.
He has held previous roles at the World Economic Forum and Deloitte.
