Carrier and BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions are teaming up to make energy-efficient HVAC systems accessible through flexible finance across Europe

European businesses continue to face mounting pressure from rising energy prices and increasingly stringent emissions regulations.

To help ease this strain and advance sustainability, Carrier has partnered with BNP Paribas in a new financing initiative that aims to make eco-friendly building technologies more attainable.

The strategic collaboration spans several European markets, designed to accelerate adoption of energy-efficient heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Under the agreement, BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions will offer flexible finance leases and hire-purchase options for Carrier’s commercial HVAC portfolio.

This offering covers heat pumps, chillers, boilers and air handling units, allowing commercial clients to spread the cost of new installations and invest more easily in advanced, low-emission equipment.

“This agreement enables Carrier to deploy advanced HVAC systems on a lease basis to our customers, accelerating adoption of more energy-efficient technologies across Europe,” says Marc Eckerhall, Executive Director for Services & Aftermarket and Climate Solutions for Europe at Carrier.

Financing energy efficiency across Europe

For many organisations, the biggest obstacle to modernising their infrastructure remains cost, limiting their ability to meet long-term environmental goals.

Leasing and hire-purchase plans help tackle this challenge by turning substantial capital investments into manageable operational expenses.

“We are proud to partner with Carrier to make high-quality, energy-efficient equipment more accessible across Europe,” says Pascale Favre, Managing Director for BNP Paribas Leasing.

“This agreement demonstrates how innovative financing can support business growth while contributing to sustainability goals.”

Together, Carrier and BNP Paribas aim to transform green ambitions into tangible results across major European markets â€” including Germany, France, the UK, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland — with plans to expand further throughout the EU.

Aligning procurement with ESG goals

Beyond its financial implications, the partnership carries significance for procurement teams increasingly required to align purchasing choices with corporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) frameworks.

By utilising leasing solutions instead of large upfront purchases, organisations can access cutting-edge HVAC technologies that enhance energy performance and cut carbon emissions without heavy capital outlay.

This model supports sustainability agendas tied to Europe’s Fit for 55 climate program and national decarbonisation strategies.

Electrified HVAC systems such as heat pumps offer further benefits, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and lowering both operational emissions and long-term energy costs.

Partnerships driving sustainable growth

The alliance between Carrier and BNP Paribas exemplifies a growing movement where partnerships are vital to Europe’s green industrial evolution.

By blending financial innovation with technological expertise, the two companies are enabling industries from manufacturing and real estate to retail and logistics to make the shift toward cleaner, more efficient operations.

For BNP Paribas, the agreement reinforces its ongoing commitment to financing solutions that align with environmental priorities.

For Carrier, it strengthens its reputation as a provider of not just cutting-edge HVAC equipment but integrated, intelligent climate systems that deliver measurable sustainability outcomes.
