Pierre-François Thaler, Co-Founder and Co-CEO at EcoVadis, is set to speak at Sustainability LIVE: Climate Week NYC 2025
Global sustainability assessment platform EcoVadis is helping companies to gain insights to supply chains and reduce emissions across all three scopes

Since its founding in 2007, EcoVadis has grown into a globally trusted provider of business sustainability ratings.

In 2025, it has rated more than 150,000 companies and has more than two million external data sources.

The very biggest companies, including Nestlé, JPMorgan, and Johnson & Johnson, use EcoVadis ratings to measure their own performance or those of companies in their supply chains.

In its ninth annual Global Supply Chain Sustainability Risk & Performance Index, EcoVadis found that the number of sustainability ratings conducted globally has grown 167% over the past five years.

“In a noisy political environment, supply chain performance tells a clearer story,” said Sylvain Guyoton, Chief Rating Officer at EcoVadis.

“The Index takes that sentiment one step further, offering evidence that supply chain partners are following through.

“Companies that stay committed to business sustainability efforts are reaping the benefits – risk reduction, resilience, supply chain performance, cost savings and growth – and setting the pace for the rest of the market.”

At Sustainability LIVE: Climate Week NYC 2025, EcoVadis is a headline sponsor, bringing together Chief Sustainability Officers from the world’s biggest companies to make change.

How EcoVadis ratings support decarbonisation

EcoVadis ratings can help companies to measure, monitor and reduce emissions across Scopes 1, 2 and in particular 3.

This data can help companies to assess supplier carbon risks, benchmark emission reduction progress and engage suppliers in collaborative decarbonisation efforts.

Its ratings also help to provide actionable insights and improvement areas to elevate companies’ carbon maturity, supporting continuous improvement and compliance.

EcoVadis ratings also serve as a criterion for sourcing and vendor qualification, encouraging companies to adopt stronger decarbonisation strategies to remain competitive.
