Schneider Electric: Most Sustainable Company for Three Years

Schneider Electric employs a global team of more than 160,000 people across more than 100 countries.
This recognition aligns with the company’s new sustainability roadmap, Impact 2030, alongside its long-standing sustainability commitments.
Schneider takes the top spot
TIME and Statista’s list compiles a ranking of 5,000 of the world’s largest and most influential companies.
Schneider’s position in the list reflects its commitment to making sustainability an integral part of its business strategy, governance and performance.
In addition to this ranking, Schneider Electric is the only company to have secured the top position in Corporate Knights’ Global 100 ranking twice, in 2021 and 2025.
It has been named to the CDP Climate A List for 15 consecutive years.
Sustainability Magazine also ranked Schneider Electric as number one in its Top 250 Most Sustainable Companies list in 2025.
Olivier Blum, CEO of Schneider Electric, says: “Being recognised by TIME and Statista for the third year in a row is an honour.
“As energy becomes increasingly central to growth, competitiveness and progress, the need to use it more intelligently continues to grow.
“We believe energy intelligence is a key enabler of both efficiency and decarbonisation, helping our customers create lasting value while reducing emissions.
“That belief has shaped Schneider Electric for many years and continues to guide how we innovate, operate and advance energy technology.”
Schneider’s sustainability work
Schneider Electric aims to advance energy technology to power progress for all, leveraging its leadership in efficiency and electrification to deliver impact at scale.
In the first quarter of 2026, the company reported a reduction of its Scopes 1 and 2 carbon emissions 82.5% against a 2017 baseline.
It also reported 47.5 million MWh of energy saved or electrified for customers in Q1, which reinforces its goal of bringing resilience and efficiency to its clients.
Esther Finidori, Chief Sustainability Officer at Schneider Electric, says: “As we embark on a new sustainability cycle with both ambition and humility, this third recognition gives us confidence that we are on the right path and a responsibility to go further.
“Impact 2030 provides the framework to scale our impact and we look forward to accelerating progress quarter after quarter.”
What is the Impact 2030 plan?
Impact 2030 is Schneider Electric’s new sustainability roadmap, which is designed around four strategic pillars:
- Electrifying the world
- Reinventing the industry
- Unlocking human potential
- Empowering local communities
Through the roadmap, Schneider tracks its performance each quarter, using measurable indicators of progress.
The company is aiming towards a 90% reduction in Scopes 1 and 2 carbon emissions and a 25% reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030.
It also plans to fund the training of electrical experts to help bridge the energy technology skills gap.
Peter Weckesser, Chief Digital Officer at Schneider Electric, writes on LinkedIn: “Being recognised as the World’s Most Sustainable Company by TIME and Statista for the third consecutive year is a tremendous honour for Schneider Electric.
“What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that it reflects not only what we have achieved, but also the progress we continue to make through our Impact 2030 commitments.
“Sustainability is no longer a standalone agenda. It is a business imperative, a competitiveness driver and increasingly, a digital transformation challenge. The ability to use data, AI, automation and electrification together will define how effectively organisations reduce emissions while creating value.
“I am proud of our teams, our partners and our customers who are helping turn ambition into measurable impact every day. The journey continues and we remain focused on scaling digital innovation and sustainability together.”
