Sustainable initiatives in action

In 2024 alone, Kinaxis made impressive strides by offsetting more than 10,000 tonnes of CO₂e emissions.

The selected projects are not just effective but also align with Kinaxis' values of being measurable, long-lasting and socially responsible.

They include:

Transforming waste into renewables – SusGlobal Belleville composting project, Canada

Organic waste left in landfills generates significant methane emissions. This initiative in Canada diverts food scraps and sewage biosolids, converting them into high-quality compost. The result is lower methane emissions and healthier, more sustainable soil for agriculture.

Bringing clean energy to farms – dairy biogas programme, India

Thousands of smallholder dairy farmers across India now use biodigesters that transform manure into renewable biogas. This reduces dependence on wood and coal, cuts household emissions and improves air quality. The programme also supports key UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as clean energy and climate action.

Cutting emissions in agriculture – nitrous oxide reduction in fertiliser production, USANitrous oxide is 265 times more potent than CO2 as a greenhouse gas. This project uses advanced technology to capture and neutralize N2O emissions from fertiliser production, making a critical industry more sustainable.

Kinaxis is focused on six UN Sustainable Development Goals
  • SDG 3: Good health and wellbeing
  • SDG 5: Gender equality
  • SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth
  • SDG 10: Reduced inequalities
  • SDG 12: Responsible consumption and production
  • SDG: 13: Climate action

Revolutionising green supply chain practices

Kinaxis goes beyond mere carbon offsetting by ensuring all its global activities are powered by 100% renewable energy and collaborating with environmentally conscious cloud providers like Google and Microsoft.

The most significant impact, however, emerges from assisting customers in reducing its supply chain carbon emissions.

The Kinaxis Sustainable Supply Chain application is a game-changer in the sector.

This tool revolutionises how businesses integrate eco-friendly practices in their operations by:

  • Tracking and managing Scope 3 emissions, offering real-time insights into carbon impact.
  • Optimising transportation decisions, choosing lower-emission routes, transport modes and fuel sources.
  • Reducing waste and inefficiencies, cutting excess inventory and last-minute expedited shipping.

This holistic strategy not only aids companies in complying with environmental regulations but also promotes cost-efficiency and smarter, sustainable choices.

Such initiatives underscore Kinaxis' leadership in green supply chain management and affirm their enduring commitment to sustainable practices.
