Kristina Andric, Director Sustainability Strategic Planning & Excellence at Tetra Pak, shares how purpose, governance & leadership shape value creation

Tetra Pak has long been synonymous with carton packaging on supermarket shelves. As global pressure mounts on food systems, sustainability has become an important lens through which the company shapes its strategy, innovation and long-term direction. Kristina Andric, the firm’s Director Sustainability Strategic Planning & Excellence, plays a central role in translating that strategic shift into business reality.

Kristina works at the intersection of sustainability, strategy, transformation and performance management. Her role is to ensure that sustainability is embedded into how Tetra Pak sets priorities, allocates capital, designs products and measures success over the long term.

Prioritising access to safe and nutritious food

Tetra Pak is a world-leading food processing and packaging solutions company, providing technologies that help manufacturers safely process, package and distribute food and beverages at scale.

At the heart of its strategy sits a longstanding belief – access to safe and nutritious food should be considered a right rather than a privilege.

“That belief is not abstract for us,” Kristina adds. “It is the reason we exist, and it is what drives our business decisions. We commit to making food safe and available everywhere, and we promise to protect what’s good – food, people and the planet.”
