Mastercard & Obopay have teamed up with BharatRohan for the Pragati Card initiative, designed to help farmers access new technologies like drones and EVs

BharatRohan, a pioneer in precision agriculture, has joined forces with Obopay and Mastercard to unveil the BharatRohan Pragati Card.

This card is crafted to boost the capabilities of 200,000 Indian farmers by blending state-of-the-art drone technology with environmentally conscious farming approaches.

This secure and easy-to-navigate platform provides farmers with the necessary agricultural inputs and services, featuring top-notch drone-based crop monitoring tools.

By promoting the use of electric vehicles, such as drones in agriculture, this initiative takes significant strides in modernising the sector in India.

Empowering farmers with sustainable solutions

The Pragati Card is more than just a financial tool; it motivates farmers to adopt green practices, rewarding them with points for sustainability-oriented activities.

These points can be used to decrease future agricultural costs, encouraging a shift towards advanced and responsible farming methods.

CEO and Co-founder of BharatRohan, Amandeep Panwar, says: "BharatRohan is committed to promoting sustainable agriculture. Our Pragati card will reward farmers for adopting eco-conscious practices like integrated crop management and using our CropAssure service."

Through such practices, BharatRohan ensures that farmers benefit from contemporary, sustainable farming techniques, leading to enhanced productivity and a lower environmental footprint.

How drone technology can transform precision agriculture

Drone technology is central to BharatRohan's strategy for transforming Indian agriculture. The company's flagship offerings — CropAssure, SourceAssure and SeedAssure — utilise tools like hyperspectral imaging and drone-based monitoring to provide actionable insights.

Equipped with advanced sensors and imaging technology, these drones furnish farmers with detailed, real-time data about crop health, soil conditions, and overall farm productivity.

Access to such precise information enables farmers to make well-informed decisions, promoting efficient use of resources, reduced chemical inputs and better crop yields.

"By reducing chemical use and utilising drone-based insights, farmers can make data-driven decisions for sustainable farm management."

Promoting eco-friendly and profitable agriculture

The Pragati Card, paired with BharatRohan's drone services, aims to achieve two crucial objectives—boost agricultural productivity and cut down on carbon emissions.

This initiative utilises electric drones for crop monitoring, thus actively contributing to more sustainable farming practices and reducing the environmental impact of the sector.

This technology aligns with India's broader goal of sustainable agriculture, especially its commitment to double farmer incomes. By 2027, BharatRohan aims to extend its reach to 500,000 farmers, driving nationwide adoption of precision farming technologies.

A vision for the future of Indian farming

The BharatRohan Pragati Card is not just a fiscal innovation but a fundamental part of a broader movement to modernise Indian agriculture.

Integrating drone-based services with financial incentives is set to revolutionise traditional farming into a data-driven, environmentally aware practice.

By marrying cutting-edge technology with farmer-focused solutions, BharatRohan addresses agricultural challenges while paving the path for a sustainable future.

The initiative's potential to enhance farm productivity, reduce the environmental impact, and elevate farmer incomes marks a pivotal moment in the farming landscape of India.

"The Pragati Card, combined with drone technology, is a step toward achieving our vision of sustainable farm management while empowering farmers," says Amandeep.

With these game-changing innovations, BharatRohan is set to redefine the workings of Indian agriculture, promising a flourishing and sustainable future for millions of farmers across the nation.
