People Moves: Laetitia Girolami-Boyer

The global banking giant BNP Paribas has appointed long-serving employee Laetitia Girolami-Boyer as its new Chief Sustainability Officer for Global Banking EMEA.

Laetitia has been with the France-based company since her professional career first began.

A 1997 graduate of one of the world’s most prestigious business schools, the École Des Hautes Etudes Commerciales du Nord (EDHEC), she has an unparalleled understanding of the corporate world. 

With more than two decades of international financial expertise at BNP Paribas behind her, she will now lead its sustainability efforts in EMEA as the financial institution looks to accelerate in its pursuit of net zero and environmental stewardship.

Though Laetitia has spent more than two decades at BNP Paribas, her career has been full of excitement and change. 

She has moved all around the world for her work, relocating to some of the most important financial hubs, including London, Paris and Hong Kong.

Her professional journey has seen her cover areas such as Global Markets, Structured Finance and Debt Capital Markets, where she has consistently demonstrated a strategic approach to integrating sustainability into financial practices.

Since 2022, though, her primary focus has been sustainability. In her previous role, she was instrumental in implementing the bank's Growth Technology Sustainability 2025 plan. The success she found in this project is part of what sees her rise to the office of CSO.

Her approach is comprehensive, focusing on developing ESG commercial roadmaps, engaging proactively with clients and creating a holistic value proposition that bridges financial services with environmental and social responsibility.
