Pilar Cruz, Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at Cargill
Pilar Cruz is Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at Cargill.
She is responsible for leading the company’s efforts to drive transformational change in delivering sustainable supply chains for customers around the globe, as well as making agriculture part of how Cargill deliver on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
This aim is core to Cargill’s purpose to nourish the world in a safe, responsible and sustainable way.
Before her current role, Pilar served as President and Group Leader of Cargill’s global aqua nutrition business.
Under her leadership, Cargill launched its SeaFurther Sustainability initiative, designed to help the company and the broader seafood industry reduce its carbon footprint.
With over two decades of business and operations experience, Pilar brings a global and diverse perspective to the Executive Team.
Outside of Cargill, Pilar serves on the Board of Donaldson Company Inc. – a Minneapolis-based public company, and a global leader in engine and industrial air, oil and liquid filtration solutions.
Additionally, Pilar was appointed to the World Food Program USA’s Board of Directors, an organisation Cargill has been working with for over 20 years.
Together, Cargill and WFP USA will continue to work toward sustainable solutions that end hunger and malnutrition, so every family in need has access to safe, nutritious and affordable food.
During the event, Pilar will take part in a joint fireside chat.
Stacy Mahler, US Head of Sustainability at Siemens Smart Infrastructure
Stacy Mahler has more than 15 years of experience in the industrial and energy sectors.
As Head of Sustainability for Siemens Smart Infrastructure (SI) in the US, she is responsible for engaging organisations on their sustainability journey with infrastructure enhancements that improve energy efficiency, integrate renewable energy and enable electrification of transportation and facilities.
Stacy also supports the carbon reduction roadmap for Siemensā SI footprint in the US, in alignment with Siemensā global sustainability goals and commitments.
She holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida, an MBA from Northwestern University and currently lives in Atlanta.
Josh Parker, Head of Sustainability at NVIDIA
Josh Parker leads Corporate Sustainability at NVIDIA.
An engineer and a lawyer, he believes following the data wherever it leads is critical for an effective sustainability program.
He previously led sustainability at Western Digital, a computer storage company and practised patent law at the law firm Baker Botts.
Eric Holdsworth, Managing Director of Climate Programs at Edison Electric Institute
Eric Holdsworth is a leading expert on the issue of global climate change, with over 30 years of experience in the field.
Currently, he is the Managing Director of Climate Programs at the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), where he oversees EEI’s involvement in climate change and clean energy issues.
In that capacity, he directs the development and execution of strategies to shape the development of national climate and clean energy policy consistent with EEI principles.
During the event, Stacy, Josh and Eric will take part in the Future of Energy Transition panel. They will explore the latest advancements, opportunities and challenges in transitioning to renewable energy.
