London Climate Action Week (LCAW) is an annual event that brings together organisations and individuals from across sectors to discuss and promote practical responses to climate change.

Now in its seventh year, LCAW has grown into one of the largest independent climate gatherings in Europe, featuring a wide range of panels, workshops, exhibitions and roundtables.

The event covers topics including climate finance, energy systems, adaptation, policy and international cooperation and takes place across multiple venues in London. 

Here we reveal 10 things you need to know about LCAW 2025.

1. Europe’s largest city-wide climate festival

LCAW is the largest city-wide climate festival in Europe, attracting over 45,000 attendees annually. 

LCAW 2025 will take place from 21–29 June, with the aim of uniting people from across the globe to accelerate climate action and position London as a global climate leader.

2. The inaugural main programme

For the first time, LCAW 2025 features an official main programme — a curated selection of high-profile events including the De-risking Summit, Climate Governance Forum and Climate Resilience Finance Summit. 

These anchor events aim to elevate policy, finance and innovation conversations at a strategic level.

3. 700+ events across London and online

LCAW offers a programme of more than 700 in-person and virtual events. 

The schedule spans summits, forums, workshops, community gatherings and more.

LCAW connects climate and non-climate organisations, policymakers, businesses and communities. 

The event is designed to foster collaboration and drive solutions to local and global climate challenges.

4. Finance Live — A daily TV show

LCAW: Finance Live is a new daily broadcast featuring live interviews, expert panels and climate finance updates streamed globally.

Taking place from 23-26 June, it aims to reinforce London’s position as a green finance hub and makes high-level conversations accessible to broader audiences.

5. AI and digital innovation take centre stage 

2025 introduces dedicated sessions on emerging technologies including AI, machine learning and data integrity for climate action. 

These sessions explore how digital tools can enhance modelling, reporting and accountability in climate strategies.

6. Inclusive climate transition

A core theme for 2025 is delivering a just and inclusive transition to net zero. 

LCAW addresses how climate action can be equitable, ensuring that the benefits and responsibilities are shared fairly among all communities and sectors.

7. Youth leadership and grassroots visibility

Youth-led events have expanded significantly for 2025, including dedicated forums, hackathons and showcases of local activism, putting next-generation voices front and centre. 

2025 also places a stronger focus on equity and global inclusion, with specific programming for underrepresented regions. Sessions highlight the challenges, innovations and perspectives from the Global South on topics like finance access, resilience, loss and damage.

8. Legal and governance developments

LCAW hosts the launch of influential reports, such as the Global Trends in Climate Change Litigation Snapshot, highlighting the growing role of law and governance in shaping climate action and holding stakeholders accountable.

9. Networking and knowledge exchange

Throughout the week, events bring together policymakers, business leaders, scientists, campaigners and community voices to share insights, form partnerships and accelerate practical climate solutions. 

From roundtables and forums to exhibitions and informal meetups, LCAW creates space for new ideas and collective action across sectors and industries.

10. Showcasing creativity and climate culture

LCAW 2025 celebrates the power of arts, fashion, film and storytelling in driving climate awareness and engagement. 

A growing number of events explore of culture and climate, including film screenings, exhibitions, fashion showcases and performances. 

This creative dimension helps broaden public participation, spark emotion-led dialogue and inspire climate action beyond traditional policy and business circles.
