How Schneider Electric leads in sustainability

Schneider couples ambitious targets with transparent reporting and delivery.

Its net zero pathway is validated by SBTi, including a 25% absolute value-chain carbon reduction by 2030 and full value-chain net zero by 2050.

As of Q1 2025, Schneider reported:

  • Nearly 700 million tonnes of CO₂ saved or avoided for customers
  • Early overachievement on several sustainability targets
  • A Schneider Sustainability Impact (SSI) score of 7.95/10, targeting 8.80 by year end.

The company tracks progress through the SSI across six long-term commitments:

  • Act for a climate-positive world
  • Be efficient with resources
  • Live up to principles of trust
  • Create equal opportunities
  • Harness the power of all generations
  • Empower local communities.

Schneider further discloses product lifecycle impacts through its Environmental Data Program (covering >70% of product turnover, aiming for 80% by end-2025).

“At Schneider Electric, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do,” says Schneider Electric’s Chief Sustainability Officer Esther Finidori on LinkedIn.
