Sage Intacct’s R3 2025 looks to reshape finance technology with a focus on sustainability, equipping small and mid-sized business finance teams with advanced AI-driven automation, seamless payment integration and key sustainability insights.

At the centre of this release is Sage Copilot, an AI-powered assistant designed to optimise financial workflows.
Its natural language Copilot Search Help empowers users across regions to explore product queries and receive instant, conversational answers, reducing information-search time and boosting productivity.
For early access clients in the US and UK, Copilot supports AI-powered Close Automation, integrating tools like Subledger Reconciliation Assistant for flagging inconsistencies before impacting month-end close.
The customisable Close Workspace offers task templates, ownership tracking and real-time notifications to standardise and speed up the close process.
Enhanced AP and procurement processes
An improvement in the R3 2025 release is the expanded accounts payable (AP) automation.
Sage Vendor Payments powered by MineralTree integrates ACH, check and virtual card payment methods directly into Sage Intacct, streamlining systems and improving cash flow visibility.
AI-driven line-level matching enhances AP efficiency by automatically aligning invoice lines against purchase order lines, reducing the need for manual checks and expediting approvals.
This looks to optimise processes and reduce risks of human error.
In procurement, Sage Intacct eProcurement has extended its reach to all sectors, offering finance teams the ability to shop directly from vendor platforms, receive order data into Intacct, and apply negotiated pricing rules.
This streamlines accuracy, compliance and expenditure control across organisations.
Integrated sustainability data insights
Sustainability is as a core feature in the R3 2025 update.
In the UK, Sage users can now utilise Sage Earth Carbon Accounting which provides rapid, no-setup carbon footprint estimates using industry and revenue metrics.
This enables businesses to establish a baseline for greenhouse gas emissions effortlessly, initiating ESG initiatives without extensive data collection.
