Scope 3: Creating Sustainable Procurement & Supply Chains

CDP and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) reported in 2024 that corporatesā supply-chain Scope 3 emissions were, on average, 26 times higher than their operational emissions across manufacturing, retail and materials.
Just eight supply chains account for more than 50% of global emissions, research from the World Economic Forum and BCG found.
These emissions can be hard to tackle, particularly when emissions are deep in the supply chain or addressing them may require collective action at the industry level.
At Sustainability LIVE: Climate Week NYC 2025, sustainability leaders from DP World, Aramex, Yum! Brands, HP and Sweep will take to the stage for a panel discussion on sustainable procurement and supply chains.
