Martine Hornseth, Consultant at Sedex

Martine is a consultant at Sedex with extensive experience across human rights due diligence, regulatory gap assessments and human rights impact and risk assessments. 

Throughout her career, she has worked across a diverse range of sectors, including fashion, solar, transport and mining. 

Martine’s expertise lies in identifying and addressing human rights risks and opportunities within supply chains and regulatory environments, whilst ensuring that businesses uphold the highest standards of ethical practice.

Martine’s previous work in ESG due diligence as part of a mergers and acquisitions consulting team, ensured the consideration of both commercial and regulatory objectives alike when assisting businesses in progressing their ESG commitments.

During the event, Martine will be delivering a workshop session titled – Sustainability in your supply chains.

Patti Carroll, WW Climate Tech Solutions Lead at AWS

Patti Carroll leads the Climate Tech CoE program at AWS, where she helps startups leverage the power of AWS services and solutions to innovate faster and smarter for climate resilience and sustainable development.

Before AWS, she led R&D innovation programmes at The Climate Corporation focused on regenerative agriculture, biodiversity, carbon sequestration and water stewardship.

During the event, Patti will take part in the AI in Sustainability panel. Leading professionals will discuss how AI technologies can be leveraged to address environmental challenges, optimise resource use and drive innovation in sustainable practices. 

The session will cover practical applications of AI in areas such as energy management, waste reduction and climate modelling, as well as the ethical considerations and potential impacts of AI on sustainability goals. 

Radha Balani, Expert Partner of Strategy & Leadership at Think Beyond

Radha Balani is one of the forerunners in making organisations more sustainable, impactful and profitable via purpose-driven programming and revenue-enhancing strategies in and through sport. 

She leads the business alongside the Managing Partner and Executive Chair.

For over two decades, she has developed strategies, narratives and programs for teams, leagues, brands, governing bodies, non-profits and personalities. 

Radha has delivered work around the world for the likes of The NFL, Bloomberg, Rexona (Degree), NASCAR, Audible, ESPN, The North Face, Liverpool FC, Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, Special Olympics, The Players’ Coalition, SunLife and numerous other national and international organisations, initiatives and programmes. 

She also leads all youth leadership work, notably designing and delivering programmes for both Billie Jean King and Michael Johnson. 

Alongside her strategic expertise and keen eye for commercial opportunities, Radha specialises in designing and facilitating action-driven discussions, workshops and panels, providing MC services, delivering keynote speeches and lending her voice to bring content to life.

Turan Mullins, Vice President of Inclusion and Engagement at U.S. Soccer Federation

Dr. Turan Mullins serves as the Vice President for Inclusion and Engagement at the U.S. Soccer Federation, where he spearheads the organisation’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategy. 

Dedicated to fostering a culture of belonging, Turan leverages his extensive expertise to drive impactful change and promote inclusivity across all levels of the organisation.

Turan holds a B.A. in Corporate Communications from Southeast Missouri State University, an M.A. in Strategic Communication and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Maryville University. 

His leadership is marked by a strategic vision and a profound commitment to advancing equity within the soccer community and beyond.

Turan Mullins, Vice President of Inclusion and Engagement at U.S. Soccer Federation

Turan is deeply committed to fostering connections within his community, frequently engaging in programs that promote mentorship and access to education.

Beyond his work at U.S. Soccer, Turan serves as a board member for the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where he chairs the Workforce Development Committee and the Gateway Equity Institute. 

In recognition of his contributions, he was named one of St. Louis Business Journal’s 2021 Champions for Diversity and Inclusion.

During the event, Radha and Turan will take part in a fireside chat titled – Changing the Game: How Sustainability Drives Commercial Success in Sport.
