A Full Professor of Marketing, Innovation and Sustainability at Roma Tre University, Carlo Alberto Pratesi has been a consultant in communication and marketing for leading Italian companies and institutions for almost 40 years. 

As well as being a university professor, Carlo is President of the European Institute of Innovation for Sustainability (EIIS) and a member of the scientific committee of WWF (Italy).

Giving regular lectures on marketing innovation and sustainability both in Italy and abroad, Carlo is an author of more than 130 scientific publications with his main focus areas being marketing, corporate communications, sustainability, innovation, entrepreneurship and food.

🎤 At Sustainability LIVE: Malta, Carlo will be taking part in the ‘EU Reporting: Driving Sustainability’ panel. The panel will explore the crucial role of EU reporting frameworks in advancing environmental and social objectives.

A law graduate from the University of Malta, Marthese Portelli is the CEO of The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry. 

Having worked in both the private and public sectors for the last 28 years, Marthese has spearheaded nationwide projects and shadowed challenging portfolios including EU affairs, energy, environment, transport, infrastructure, capital projects, planning and property. 

After leaving politics, Marthese ventured into sectoral representation and since 2021 has been the CEO of The Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry. 

Marthese is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta and sits on the Board of Directors of Malta Business Bureau (MBB), Education Malta, Tech.MT and Trade Malta.

🎤 At Sustainability LIVE: Malta, Marthese will be joining Carlo on the ‘EU Reporting: Driving Sustainability’ panel. Attendees will gain insights into the latest regulations, best practices for compliance and innovative strategies for leveraging reporting to enhance sustainability performance.

An economist, Cressida Galea is Head of Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability at MeDirect Bank (Malta) plc. 

With more than seven years of experience in banking and regulatory affairs, Cressida has extensive experience in regulatory dialogue and horizon scanning. 

Cressida is also responsible for integrating sustainable practices in business operations and risk management, as well as ensuring accurate sustainability reporting under EU legislation.
