Sol Salinas, Global Executive VP and Sustainability Lead at Capgemini
Sol is a corporate sustainability expert and digital transformation thought leader with 30 years of experience.
He co-founded the US EPA’s ENERGY STAR programme and served as its Director of Strategic Planning and Brand Czar from 1991 to 2005.
Later, he was appointed Assistant Office Director at EPA's Office of International Affairs, leading multilateral partnerships on global climate change, clean air, water and sanitation and waste management.
Sol's expertise spans enterprise digital transformation, circular economy, strategic energy management, green buildings, renewable energy, carbon footprinting, environmental metrics and marketing.
He has held significant roles at Capgemini and Accenture, including Global Managing Director and leader of a US$300m global smart infrastructure and smart cities practice.
His industry experience includes public service, health and life sciences, retail, consumer goods, telecommunications, high-tech, energy and utilities and the US federal government.
A staunch advocate of human-centred design, Sol has presented on repurposing Maslow’s ‘Hierarchy of Needs’ for smart communities, a concept showcased internationally by Smart Dubai.
During the event, Sol will deliver a keynote presentation titled – There’s Never been a better time to become Net Positive: If not Now, then When? If not Us, then Who?
Saleh ElHattab, Co-Founder and CEO of Gravity
Saleh ElHattab is the Co-Founder and CEO of Gravity, the leading enterprise carbon accounting and energy management platform.
Saleh began creating software for the physical world at Salesforce as Head of Solution Architecture for Salesforce IoT. In this role he scaled the global pre- and post-sale technical services organisation and helped customers digitise their operations.
Later, as a Director of Product at Samsara, Saleh scaled the company’s Fleet Safety product to a flagship offering and developed their Connected Sites product to expand into facilities and warehouses.
Saleh was born and raised in Plainfield, Indiana and received a dual BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from Indiana University.
During the event, Saleh will take part in the Global Decarbonisation Strategies panel. He will explore the most effective approaches for reducing carbon emissions across industries, including renewable energy adoption, carbon capture, sustainable supply chains and policy frameworks.
