What inspired you to get involved in Sustainability LIVE: Malta?

I am a big believer in sustainability in today’s day and age. The opportunity to be part of Sustainability LIVE: Malta allows me to contribute to meaningful discussions that can drive positive change.

Being involved in this event aligns with my commitment to promoting sustainable practices and ensuring that our actions today lead to a better tomorrow.

Provide an overview of what your panel will focus on.

My panel will focus on the importance of sustainability assurance and the role it plays in building trust and transparency in sustainability reporting.

I hope to discuss the importance of sustainability assurance and how organisations and economies can leverage sustainability assurance to enhance credibility and stakeholder confidence.

What do you hope to achieve through the event?

Through this event, I hope to achieve a greater awareness and understanding of the critical role that sustainability assurance plays in the broader sustainability landscape. I aim to inspire the audience to see value in robust sustainability reporting practices.

What emerging trends do you believe will shape the future of sustainability over the next decade?

Over the next decade, several emerging trends are likely to shape the future of sustainability. These include the emergence of new technologies, the rise of sustainable finance and the growing emphasis on circular economy principles.

Additionally, if global decarbonisation rates remain stagnant, higher policy action will become crucial in driving sustainability efforts.  These trends will drive organisations to innovate and adopt more holistic approaches to sustainability, ultimately separating the winners from the losers in the sustainability landscape.
