In just one week, Sustainability LIVE: Climate Week NYC 2025 will open its doors, bringing together global leaders to accelerate solutions for the world’s most urgent climate challenges. 

Adding to the excitement, three new speakers have been announced to share perspectives on sustainable supply chains, renewable energy, climate finance and the transformative role of emerging technologies in achieving net zero. 

Their contributions promise to enrich an agenda designed to inspire collaboration and drive meaningful impact across industries.

Karin Svensson, Chief Sustainability Officer at Volvo Group

Karin has been Chief Sustainability Officer at Volvo Group since April 2022. 

She leads the company’s sustainability transition towards a fossil-free future through a unique approach to cross-sectoral partnership and an ambition to drive sustainable solutions and practices across the supply chain. 

Her expertise plays a key role in helping Volvo move closer to 100% fossil-free vehicles by 2040 while inspiring other industry players to enhance their own decarbonisation journey.

Before this, she held various managerial positions at Volvo Group since 1996, most recently Senior Vice President Public Affairs (2018-2022). 

She has also held roles as Vice President, Group Strategy, President of Volvo Technology North America and a number of positions in Research & Development.

During the event, Karin will take part in the Global Impact Forum. She will explore the interconnected challenges of climate, equity and resilience, showcasing bold leadership, cross-sector collaboration and transformative solutions shaping a more sustainable and inclusive global economy.

Amanda Gardiner, Executive Director at UN Global Compact Network USA

As Executive Director of UN Global Compact Network USA, Amanda ensures the organisation delivers on its mission by overseeing its strategic growth and development, programming and engagement with US businesses.

Amanda is a social impact leader whose career spans over two decades.

She has successfully led efforts to integrate sustainability into core business strategies and operations. Most recently, she served as the first Head of ESG at Meta, driving strategy and implementation efforts at a transformative time in the technology sector. 

Before Meta, Amanda led corporate responsibility at both Verizon and Pearson, advising their boards and C-suites on embedding sustainability and social impact into business practices.

Earlier in her career, Amanda led the United Nations Development Programme’s Business Call to Action initiative, working closely with multinational companies to advance sustainability through innovative business strategy. 

Korab Zuka, Global Head of Social Impact and Chief Sustainability Officer at Novartis

Korab is an accomplished leader with extensive expertise in corporate affairs, sustainability, health equity, philanthropy and communications. 

In this newly created role, Korab leads all sustainability and ESG programmes, the Novartis Foundation, US Social Impact and all Giving, Matching and Volunteering programmes to expand inclusive healthcare access and also advance the company’s broader commitments.

With a proven track record in building impactful partnerships and driving health equity, sustainability and social impact initiatives, Korab has contributed significantly to both private and public healthcare organisations. 

Before Novartis, Korab was Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Bristol Myers Squibb, where he was instrumental in advancing the company’s purpose-driven mission, developing impactful health equity and sustainability strategies. 

During the event, Amanda and Korab will take part in The CSO Strategy Summit. They will explore the challenges and opportunities CSOs face in driving sustainability strategies, engaging stakeholders and integrating sustainability into core business operations.
