Sedex expands its operations with a new office and appoints two C-suite leaders to support European companies facing sustainable supply chain regulations

Supply chain solutions provider Sedex has announced an expansion of its European operations with the opening of a new office in Madrid, Spain.

This, coupled with the appointment of two seasoned executives to its leadership team, positions the company to better serve the evolving needs of businesses navigating complex sustainability legislation in Europe.

The new Madrid office is Sedex's first foothold in continental Europe, featuring a local team proficient in Spanish, German, Italian and French.

François Cadillon is taking on the position of Chief Growth Officer and Eileen Jackson is Sedex’s new Group Chief Financial Officer.

François says: "We understand the value of a local partner when it comes to this intense combination of meeting compliance and sustainability goals while maintaining cost efficiency and operational resilience.

“Our Madrid office is a key part of Sedex providing the solutions European businesses need to successfully respond to the supply chain challenges, uncertainties and demands on the horizon.”

Europe’s regulatory challenges

The expansion is a direct response to the growing number of regional laws with complex and resource-intensive requirements for supply chain sustainability and due diligence.

These include the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and the EU Forced Labour Ban.

Each of these regulations demands extensive ESG risk mapping, supplier assessment and monitoring activities, with potentially severe consequences for non-compliant companies.

Sedex's enhanced European presence aims to provide more tailored support to regional businesses, including consultancy services to build streamlined programmes tackling multiple sustainability-related requirements.

Sedex’s new global leaders

Alongside its geographical expansion, Sedex has made two key appointments to its executive team.

Eileen Jackson, Group Chief Financial Officer

Eileen Jackson joins Sedex as the new Group Chief Financial Officer, bringing nearly three decades of experience across finance, audit, and technology sectors.

Eileen says: “It’s a pleasure and privilege to join at this exciting time for Sedex. I’m delighted to offer my experience in aligning business objectives with customer impact and responsible growth to the company as we expand.”

François Cadillon, Chief Growth Officer

François has taken on the role of Chief Growth Officer, tasked with advancing Sedex's international growth strategy.

With an extensive background in scaling business-to-business SaaS organisations, including senior roles at SAP, Oracle, and Workday, he brings valuable expertise to the table.

Based in central Europe, François will lead Sedex's business development teams, focusing on expanding the company's presence in key markets and strengthening relationships with customers worldwide.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Eileen and François to our Executive Team,” says Jon Hancock, Chief Executive Officer at Sedex.
