The pace of consolidation slowed in 2024, with vendors focusing on strengthening core capabilities. Notable acquisitions in 2023 included Cority's purchase of Greenstone and EcoOnline's acquisition of Ecometrica.

“EHS is juggling multiple priorities, with safety at its core,” explains Chris.
“Technology, especially AI, is critical to EHS operations, and AI adoption continues to grow despite budget challenges and AI safety concerns.”
AI integration
Vendors are leveraging AI solutions to help organisations move beyond reactive safety practices. Computer vision technologies from companies like Intenseye and Protex AI are enabling real-time monitoring of compliance and detection of unsafe behaviors.
Specialisation and differentiation
Vendors are differentiating themselves by specialising in areas such as emissions tracking, SIF reduction and industry-specific solutions. Large players like Intelex, Sphera, VelocityEHS and Wolters Kluwer Enablon are expanding their offerings to meet diverse organisational needs.
