On 5 and 6 March, Sustainability LIVE: Net Zero will arrive at the QEII Centre for a two-day, hybrid event that will explore how we can embark on the route to a carbon-neutral world.
Across the two days, attendees can look forward to engaging with a diverse agenda that will delve into the latest cutting-edge technologies, strategies and ideas we can harness to craft a greener future.

Michael Batstone, Global Climate Strategy Manager at IFS
Michael Batstone is the Global Climate Strategy Manager at IFS, a role he has held since 2023.
Throughout his career, Michael has acquired expertise in data analytics, management consulting and sustainability advisory.
He is enthusiastic about utilising technology and driving climate impact to propel the path to global net zero.
Michael also holds a First Class Master’s degree in Biology from the University of Bristol.
🎤 At Sustainability LIVE: Net Zero, Michael will feature on the Global ESG Strategies panel alongside Joe Murphy, Executive Lead of the Ellen Macarthur Foundation, Olivia Ruggles-Brise, Vice President of Sustainability at BDC Travel and Kuram Gwakyaa, Head of Sustainability at Mitie.
This panel discussion will explore how organisations can develop robust global ESG strategies to address environmental, social and governance challenges while propelling accountability and transparency.
Thomas Neuenhahn, Director of Net Zero at Siemens Energy
Thomas Neuenhahn is the Director of Net Zero at Siemens Energy.
Across his career, Thomas has held several positions within Siemens, such as Head of Marketing & Business Development for Gas Services in Europe & Africa, Head of Center of Competence Heat Decarbonised Energy Systems, Head of Manufacturing Center of Excellence and Head of Innovation Management.
He also studied Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University.
🎤 At Sustainability LIVE: Net Zero, Thomas will be harnessing the extensive experience he has acquired at Siemens Energy to deliver an engaging keynote presentation.
Tom Byrne, Head of Net Zero and Environment at British Airways
Tom Byrne is the Head of Net Zero and Environment at British Airways.
In his role, Tom strives to propel British Airways’ wider environmental management, reporting and transition to net zero carbon emissions.
Before joining the company, Tom worked at ASOS and within the Sustainability team at Landsec.
Tom is also a recipient of the Acre 365 award, a Climate Reality Leader and member of the edie.com 30 under 30 class of 2019.
🎤 At Sustainability LIVE: Net Zero, Tom will be delivering an engaging fireside chat that will explore British Airways’ Flightpath to Net Zero — the company’s three-pronged approach to achieving its net zero target by 2050 or sooner.
