Embedding ESG across the business

Launched in April 2022, 'Racing. Green.' is Aston Martin’s comprehensive ESG roadmap, aligning directly and indirectly with 11 of the United Nation’s sustainable development goals.

Overseen by the company’s Board Sustainability Committee, the strategy integrates sustainability into every area of the business.

  • Resource efficiency and zero waste to landfill: Aston Martin outlines in its latest sustainability report, its progress on waste reduction, energy efficiency and landfill diversion targets (the report highlights that zero waste to landfill has already been achieved at manufacturing sites).

  • Biodiversity enhancement: The 2024 sustainability report also includes details of site-level biodiversity projects, such as habitat restoration and green space management around Gaydon and St Athan (covered in the Environment and Communities chapters).

  • Electrification: Aston Martin’s pipeline of hybrid and fully electric models, is highly linked to its 'Racing. Green.' ambition to reach net zero and electrify its product range, according to the company’s 2024 sustainability report

  • Sustainable supply chain: Also found in the sustainability report, the company is found describing strengthened partnerships and policies to ensure ethical sourcing and responsible materials management.

“Sustainability is fundamental to Aston Martin’s mission of delivering ultra-luxury high performance and simultaneously meeting the evolving expectations of a changing world,” says Adrian Hallmark, CEO of Aston Martin, in the company’s 2024 sustainability report.
