HP’s sustainable designs

HP’s Tilt Ergonomic Pink Mouse 720M is designed for comfort, including:

  • A natural hand position
  • Dual wireless connectivity
  • A tilt wheel for vertical and horizontal scrolling
  • A soft touch coating, all for a responsive experience.

The battery free mouse, powered by a supercapacitor, can deliver up to a month of use from a three minute charge.

This mouse reflects HP’s sustainable commitment, being made with 60% post-consumer recycled materials.

Like HP’s 720M, the HP Ultra-Fast Scroll Wireless Mouse 780M also incorporates 60% post-consumer recycled materials, also arriving in Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) -certified packaging.

For users who work across multiple devices, HP offers the HP Multi-Device Dual-Mode Mouse and Keyboard Combo with Palm Rest 580C, delivers a comfortable typing and mouse experience while containing at least 65% post-consumer recycled plastic.

“We focus on creating lasting impact in the communities we serve and helping prepare the next generation for what’s ahead,” says Enrique Lores, President and CEO of HP, in the company’s 2024 Sustainability Impact Report.

“That is why sustainability is embedded in what we do, from how we innovate, to how we operate, to how we engage with our communities.

“It is not a separate initiative, but a core element of our strategy to grow responsibly and create lasting value for all our stakeholders.”

Recycled travel accessories

HP understands work is becoming more fluid and that people need to be connected wherever the day takes them.

The HP 65W GaN Wall Charger is a compact USB-C charger that is 35% smaller and 15% lighter than the previous generation with a flexible two meter cable.

With Gallium Nitride efficiency and smart charging adaptive power technology, it offers reliable charging in a travel-friendly design.

The charger is made with at least 90% post-consumer recycled plastic and arrives in packaging that is certified by the FSC.

HP is also launching its HP Protective Series laptop sleeves, built for everyday protection on the move.

Available in five colours, the sleeves are lightweight, water resistant and durable, making them suitable for any workspace.

The slim design fits most laptops up to 14 and 16 inches, while a retractable handle supports easy travel.

The range is made using at least 60% post-consumer recycled plastic and comes in packaging certified by the FSC.

Unified device management

HP has plans to merge the HP Poly Lens Desktop, Mobile and Room apps into one offering, HP Poly Studio Apps.

The software maintains the same secure device setup and management while expanding support beyond HP Poly collaboration tools to selected HP docks and displays.

By bringing more devices into a single cloud-connected platform, IT teams can manage, monitor and update hardware more efficiently, reducing complexity, energy use and the need for manual intervention.

This streamlined approach supports more sustainable IT operations by extending device performance and lifespan.

For employees, it delivers a simpler, more reliable experience, with an intuitive app that enables faster connection, personalisation and consistent device performance, helping organisations get more value from existing technology.

“We are making measurable progress,” says Enrique in the 2024 SIR.

“Across our environmental and societal goals, we are seeing results and advancing on many fronts.”
