Top 10: Sustainability Events in 2026

The field of business sustainability moves faster than almost any other corporate discipline.
Sustainability challenges often lie outside an individual company’s four walls, so meeting with other professionals and leaders can help to support collaboration and benchmark progress.
Events and conferences offer a chance to scout new technologies and innovations and hear from others what is working.
Sustainability Magazine has ranked 10 of the top sustainability events in 2026.
10. GreenBiz 26
Location: Arizona, US
Date: 17-19 February
Founded: 2009
Set in the city of Phoenix, GreenBiz will bring together corporate sustainability professionals beyond just Chief Sustainability Officers to cover topics like decarbonisation, nature and supply chains.
It will highlight emerging models for corporate water stewardship throughout its programme including a series of panels, partner events and a field trip.
GreenBiz26 will also offer sessions targeted at practitioners with more than five years of experience on a specific topic to provide deep perspectives.
9. Smart City Expo World Congress
Location: Barcelona, Spain
Date: 3-5 November
Founded: 2011
In 2025, the Smart City Expo World Congress attracted more than 25,000 attendees from 138 countries.
It is set in Barcelona, a city that has implemented a number of smart city initiatives including smart streetlights and an integrated public Wi-Fi network.
The event covers topics including mobility, the blue economy and enabling technologies.
Nearly 600 speakers covered urban innovation on its stages across more than 350 sessions.
8. Ecosperity Week
Location: Singapore
Date: 18-21 May
Founded: 2014
Convened by Temasek, Ecosperity Week brings together leaders from government, industry and finance to discuss climate action in Asia.
Its first day focuses on decarbonisation and the second day on finance.
In 2025, the event covered topics like what policy is needed to enable the energy transition and how financing gaps can be bridged.
It aims to consider where Asia stands on its decarbonisation goals and what needs to happen next.
7. World Future Energy Summit
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Date: 13-15 January
Founded: 2008
The World Future Energy Summit describes itself as a āglobal think tankā, bringing together more than 50,000 visitors in Abu Dhabi with upwards of 300 speakers.
Alongside the energy transition, the Summit covers green finance, sustainable cities, mobility and AI.
The organisation itself aims to reach net zero by 2040 with a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 alongside supporting wider change.
6. S&P Global CERAWeek
Location: Texas, US
Date: 23-27 March
Founded: 1983
CERAWeek is held in the city of Houston, a global hub for the energy industry home to the headquarters of many businesses.
It is one of the biggest conferences focussed on energy.
It brings together thousands of attendees and has hosted previous speakers including US Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, US Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael Regan and CEOs from TotalEnergies, EDF and Rivian.
5. London Climate Action Week
Location: London, UK
Date: 20-28 June
Founded: 2019
London Climate Action Week hosts hundreds of events each year, including the debut of Sustainability LIVE: The CSO Summit in 2026.
The Week was launched in 2019 by the Mayor of London to address the climate crisis.
The CSO Summit is set to bring together more than 250 invite only attendees for a one day conference and expo providing practical guidance and strategic perspective focussed on climate action strategy.
It will help leaders to navigate a rapidly evolving sustainability landscape shaped by regulation, innovation and global policy shifts.
4. Climate Week NYC

Date: 21-28 September
Founded: 2009
Climate Week NYC is run by Climate Group alongside the United Nations General Assembly.
It featured more than 1,000 events in 2025 and is set to welcome Sustainability LIVE back for 2026.
Sustainability LIVEās one day invite-only conference and expo at Climate Week will host more than 500 senior attendees, upwards of 50 expert speakers and four interactive executive workshops.
It is set to provide practical guidance and strategic perspective on embedding climate action across operations, supply chains and investment decisions.
3. Davos 2026
Location: Davos, Switzerland
Date: 19-23 January
Founded: 1971
The World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos began in 1971 when founder Klaus Schwab invited 450 participants to discuss better management techniques.
It now brings together thousands of people from heads of state and governments to business leaders and celebrities.
For 2026, the eventās theme is āA Spirit of Dialogueā and its programme covers topics including cooperation in a contested world, unlocking new sources of growth, better investing in people, deploying innovation at scale and building prosperity within planetary boundaries.
2. COP31
Location: Antalya, Turkey
Date: TBC
Founded: 1995
The United Nations Climate Change Conferences (COP) are held each year in the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The Conference of Parties first took place in 1995 in Berlin, Germany and has continued to welcome heads of state each year.
It has become a place for global leaders from both business and government to convene.
COP31 is set to be hosted in Turkey with an Australian President of Negotiations.
The Pre-COP in 2026 will be hosted in a Pacific island country supported by the Government of Australia, giving attendees an opportunity to see Pacific climate impacts and responses firsthand.
1. Sustainability LIVE: The Global Summit
Location: London, UK
Date: 8-9 September
Founded: 2022
Hosted by Sustainability Magazine, Sustainability LIVE: The Global Summit is a conference for senior sustainability executives leading climate and ESG transformation.
Set at the QEII Centre in Westminster for 2026, it will bring together more than a thousand senior leaders.
More than 50 expert speakers are set to join the event, covering topics including global decarbonisation, water sustainability, nature-based solutions, women in sustainability and circularity.
Co-located with Procurement & Supply Chain LIVE: The Global Summit, the event offers a rare opportunity for cross-functional collaboration.
